Another star leaving? Conte has instructed Chelsea to sell Thibaut Courtois for €50 million

Thibaut Courtois is highly rated as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and he could yet develop into the best of all time. He joined Chelsea and spent a few seasons on loan at Atletico, before returning to Stamford Bridge and ousting Petr Cech between the Chelsea sticks.

He has looked world-class when called upon, but also flappable on occasion. Could he have played his last game in a Chelsea strip?

The Times believe that incoming manager, Antonio Conte, has ordered the club to sell Courtois if an offer of €50 million is made for the player. It would make him the most expensive goalkeeper of all time and there are clubs interested. Real Madrid have been chasing David De Gea for some time but Manchester United seem determined to keep hold of the Spanish star.

Real might switch target and head for Courtois to fill the void left by Casillas. PSG are another team with the cash to offer a route out of London for the Belgian keeper.

Thibaut Courtois has made some rather harsh comments regarding the Chelsea setup in the past and has never seemed overly-passionate about being a Chelsea player. With Asmir Begovic proving to be useful cover when called upon, could he make the step-up and take over Courtois full time?
€50 million seems a phenomenal amount of money for a goalkeeper and Chelsea would certainly have to think carefully should an offer come in. Should they sell?
