Liverpool Vs Arsenal

Arsenal and Liverpool Battle for Fastest Player in La Liga who Scored 10 Goals This Season, Clubs Ready to Meet £15m Clause

Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly in £15 million battle to sign Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams. Although there are several other clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid who are also keeping close tabs on the progress of Williams, Liverpool and Arsenal have merged to be the top clubs that are considered likely to secure his services after their great interest in signing the player.

William, who is Athletic academy product, is officially the fastest player in La Liga after being clocked at 22.2 miles per hours during Atletico’s 1 – 1 draw with Deportivo in May. With a record of 22.2 miles per hour, Williams is automatically the quickest player in Spanish football history.

With his stunning performance and his contract up in 18 months at the San Mames Stadium, a good number of clubs have been monitoring the Bilbao-born-21-year-old. He is a Spain Under-21 international and has a £15.3 million release clause in his contract which has given the Reds and Gunners a massive hint for a possible January swoop for the youngster.

According to our sources, Jürgen Klopp is reportedly a big fan of Williams and has been keeping a close eye on him, with Arsene Wenger also identified to have great interest in bringing the youngster at the Emirates. It is reported that Arsenal scouts were present to watch the 21-year-old play against Villarreal on Wednesday, where he scored the only winning goal that earned his club a 1-0 away win in the Copa del Rey against Villarreal.

Williams, who plays both as a central striker or wingers for the first team, has a had a good start in his football career after netting six times in Leagues competitions, along with two in the Copa del Rey and another two in the Europa League this season.

This is a great improvement that shows he is in a stunning goal-scoring form after he only managed to find the back of net three times last season.
