Arsenal are set to complete their second transfer of the January transfer window next week. The Gunners have already completed the signing of FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny, subject to work permit issues, and now the reports are claiming that the London side will announce the signing of Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell next week.
The Gunners have reportedly been scouting the 19-year old for quite some time now, and his performances during his loan spell with Huddersfield Town have convinced the North London side to make a move for him. Player returned for his loan spell on January 2.
Daily Star claims that the Premier League table toppers have already started negotiations with the Foxes, and a deal is expected to be completed next week. Premier League rivals Liverpool, and Chelsea have also shown interests in the player, but it seems like the Gunners have stolen the march in this pursuit.
Chilwell will be the third choice left-back at Emirates Stadium behind Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs and is likely to leave on a loan deal after the deal is completed.
