Arsenal Bids For Schneiderlin, Player Wants To Play For Wenger, United Set To Lose Out

Morgan Schneiderlin is the beautiful bride these days and he has attracted interest from several clubs with Arsenal being the latest. The Southampton midfielder is all set to leave the Saints after an impressive stay.

Two seasons ago, he was expected to have departed alongside Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw and Dejan Lovren, but to the surprise of many he stayed back and his stock hasn’t dropped since.

This has ensured that Ronald Koeman has a huge battle on his hands as he battles to stave off the interest of Arsenal and Manchester United. Southampton’s qualification for the Europa league has also meant that every available quality player would be needed for the campaign.

Schneiderlin was reported to have told France Bleu Alsace radio station that: “The negotiations are ongoing and should be completed in the coming days, hopefully before the resumption of [Southampton’s preseason] training.” He was also quoted as saying that he will decide his future very soon.

The Frenchman has been admired by Arsene Wenger and the lure of Champions league football may be too tempting to resist. Playing for a big club would also boost his chances of making the les bleus squad ahead of next year’s Euro Championships taking place in his homeland.

Should he join Arsenal he would have to compete with Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin who were instrumental to Arsenal’s 19th successive Champions league qualification.
