Arsenal Enters Race To Sign £65,000-A-Week Manchester United Target

Arsenal have been in fine form this season and find themselves joint-leaders with Manchester City but still realize that they need a fine striker to add to the squad at the Emirates as the Gunners have created 130 chances so far in the English League but have not been able to convert so much.

The Gunners have been highlighting a number of forwards for the squad but Ayoze Perez’s form for Newcastle United hasn’t gone unnoticed and Arsenal are now starting to take notice of the forward too but might have to go head-to-head with a number of other top clubs in the English League.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are already reportedly tracking the 22-year-old alongside Chelsea and any of these clubs could be ready to lure the player away by the January transfer window.

Although, Perez, who signed from Tenerife as an unknown last year, has given no indication that he is looking to leave St James’s Park, he might be tempted enough when the time is right with the clubs lining up after him.

Speaking about Perez this week, Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren said, “What Ayo has done is, he’s been good on the ball but he’s been good off it. He has been terrific off the ball. He loses the ball in training but he gets it back. He doesn’t get it back in a normal way, he’s a bit of a pest. And he wraps his leg around you and takes the ball.”

It remains to be seen who will get the player afterall by the January transfer window or next summer transfer window or if Newcastle will prefer to hold on to him against all odds.
