Arsenal Given GREENLIGHT To Sign WORLD CLASS Striker – Not Benzema

Arsenal can still land their long-time transfer target Gonzalo Higuain after he rejected a contract extension offer that would see him remain in Italy beyond 2018.

The Argentina International almost completed a move to the North London side in the summer of 2013 but eventually favored a move to Italy. Reports coming in from Italy as per the Metro say the centre forward has refused to commit his future to the Italian club. Arsenal are looking to take advantage of the entire situation and lure the goal poacher to the Emirates Stadium.

His older brother who doubles as his agent said: “We had a meeting with president (Aurelio De Laurentiis) in Venice 10days ago.

“We talked about everything. He offered a one-year contract extension, however, in my opinion – and in our opinion – we’ll continue with the original contract, expiring in 2018.

Arsenal,  the community shield holders for this season, are looking for a proven striker who will better the goal scoring prowess of Oliver Giroud who has failed to impress in his three seasons with the Gunners. With 53goals in 102 appearances, Gonzola Higuain has scored at least a goal in two games for Napoli. Apparently, this record for his clubs will see him walk straight into Arsenal’s first team.

If Arsenal are to challenge for the title, they must buy a top-notch striker, the 27-year-old Argentina international fit into the definition given his record for club.

Arsenal have so far signed a player this summer.
