Arsenal Given Massive BOOST In Benzema Chase

The Gunners have been handed a boost in the pursuit of their summer prime target Karim Benzema of Real Madrid. This is coming as a result of a poll conducted by Spanish newspaper AS. In the poll, majority of the Blancos fans were not in favour of Benzema as their centre forward this season casting doubt of his future for the club. This is according to Daily Telegraph.

Arsene Wenger has remained undaunted in the player’s pursuit even after Madrid’s apparent reluctance to allow him leave. The Gunners have launched a third bid of £45m for the player who remains the prime target of Wenger. This reported will no doubt excite the teeming and expectant fans of Arsenal.

The 27-year-old attacker was a centre of criticism last season following his unimpressive outing for the Los Blancos. He managed to score 15 league goals and the Los Blancos ended the term without a single trophy.

Earlier this week, the media was awash with the news of a deal almost agreed upon by Real Madrid and Arsenal for the player. The reports even claimed that the player will be announced next week after his medical that is slated to hold next Monday.

The Los Blancos will be starting this season today in a game against Sporting Gihon. We will have a clearer picture of all the reports as playing Ronaldo as a striker will confirm or debunk all the reports about Benzema’s future.
