Arsenal Injury News Update

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could be fit again in weeks rather than months after a trip to relax in Dubai looked to have helped his injured leg, according to the Daily Express.

Wilshere picked up the injury in pre-season training and there were fears that he could be out for a long time if surgery were expected.

However, the Express report says that manager Arsene Wenger sent Wilshere on holiday to relax and that appears to have helped with the news saying it has helped improve his injury.

The newspaper also said that the playmaker will return from Dubai in the next 24 hours.

The likelihood of Wilshere actually getting back onto the pitch sooner remains to be seen because he still has some way to go in his recovery progress.

Nevertheless, the report speculates that Wilshere, who started just nine games in the league, could be back after the International break.

It remains to be seen where Wenger will use him in the team because there doesn’t appear to be a role for him.

Although Wilshere wants to play centrally, both Carzola and Ramsey appears to be ahead of him in the pecking order in that role.

Even on the wings Alex Chamberlain has started the season well and it goes to show the strength in depth Arsenal have when every player is fit.

Jack Wilshere didn’t make a single defensive error in the League, he had a 67% shot accuracy which was fourth highest in the Arsenal squad last season.
