Arsenal January Target Agrees To Sign Four Years Deal, Will Earn £75,000-A-Week

Arsenal’s chances of getting their long-term target, Dani Ceballos seems to have been dealt a blow as the Spain under-21 international has decided to commit his future to La Liga side, Real Betis. The 19 year-old put pen to paper to sign a contract extension that will keep him with the club until 2020. But his new deal is flexible, and a move could still be forced through if the Gunners decide to meet his buyout clause of £8.8 million, although it could increase to £11 million Pounds by the next season.

Ceballos was also been linked with elites such as Liverpool and Real Madrid following his exploits at last year’s Euros under-19 tournament alongside Madrid’s Marco Asensio. The teenager is already being touted as one of the next potentials to watch out for, after his graduation from the Real Betis youth academy that continues to churn out great youngsters. He was also instrumental in the promotion of Betis from the Segunda division at the end of last season. Being a fans-favorite, the teenage sensation says he wants to continue to please the fans the more.

Arsenal were banking on getting the Spaniard from Betis during the coming Winter transfer in January for cheap, and as contracts extension talks earlier continued to stall, the speculations as per a move away to a big side increased. But last month, Ceballos expressed his desires to stay further with the Pepe Mel-led side for many seasons to come, although his current contract was to lapse at the end of the ongoing season. The Gunners will now have to probably look elsewhere for another signing, as the player is loving it at Betis for now.
