Arsene Wenger

Arsenal legend orders Wenger to sign this Real Madrid defending star

The 2015/2016 season looks set to end a barren one for Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger following a season in which Arsenal has been bundled out of both the F.A cup and the Champions League not mentioning Arsenal’s largely poor showing in the English Premier league.

The poor showing coupled with mounting pressure from fans tired of waiting for silver ware has had Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger looking into potential areas needing strengthening in his current squad. Wenger is therefore set for a summer in which we could see a number of new signing join the emirates this summer compared to last season where the only addition was goalkeeper Peter Cech from Premier League rivals Chelsea in a deal worth about 11 million pounds.

Despite a busy transfer window in the waiting for Arsenal a question stands out on specifically where Arsene Wenger should strengthen, the defence or the striking force?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to sign a centre forward this summer given that current forwards have struggled in front of goal this season having only managed to net 20 goals between them this season. However, Arsenal legend Charlie Nicholas differs with Arsene Wenger and instead argues that Arsenal should be keen on signing a quality centre back to replace Per Mertesacker who according to Arsenal legend Charlie Nicholas has failed in both his displays and leadership by example in the Arsenal matches.
Charlie Nicholas singles out Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane as the centre back that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger should be keen to land in the summer.

In fact the Arsenal legend Charlie Nicholas is keen to note that Arsenal do create chances in the course of regular play and the only limitation is that Arsenal is seemingly not able to win off matches not necessary by big margins but by scores such as 1-0 like teams such as Leicester are doing.
