Arsenal On The VERGE Of 6ft 1in Defender Signing, Jose Mourinho To Lose Out Again

English Premier League top side, Arsenal  look to be closing in on a deal for the transfer of Napoli and Algeria left-back, Faouzi Ghoulam: with exclusive reports according to The Express stating that after preliminary talks over the past couple of weeks, the Gunners are set to table a bid in the region of €15 million soonest; which is believed to be sufficient enough to sanction a deal.

This comes on the heels of long-standing interest and repeated inquiries about the player’s availability, from the English side. It appears, however, that the Gunners may not have an easy ride; with the reports also stating that fellow English side, Chelsea FC are seemingly on the lookout for a  direct replacement for want-away full back, Filipe Luis: and with the player, Ghoulam, said to have captured the attention of Blues’ manager Jose Mourinho, a bid from Chelsea FC may well be on the horizon, if Arsenal do not wrap up the deal as soon as expected.

Newly-appointed Real Madrid and former Napoli Coach Rafa Benitez has also been linked with a move for the Algerian, and may well bid for his services; having brought him to the Italian club during his tenure as Coach of the Italian side.

With other reports linking Arsenal to other full backs across Europe, most notably Augsburg’s Baba Rahman, it appears that Arsenal are in pole position to sign the player, despite the rising interest from other clubs; as talks between the club and Napoli have reportedly reached advanced levels.
