Arsenal On The VERGE Of Signing €30m Rated 6ft 1in “Workaholic” Midfielder
Arsenal have their sight set on Sevilla defensive midfielder, Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to the Polish press.
The player, who is said to have a release clause of €30 million, is also reported to be interested in a move to the EPL; emphasising that “some offers are just too good to turn down.”
Krychowiak, who recently changed his agent, and now has the same agent as Arsenal’s Wojciech Szczesny could be Wenger’s alternative to highly rated Southampton’s defensive midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin. Schneiderlin is Wenger’s main transfer target for the defensive midfield position, but he is being put off by Southampton’s insistence on keeping their captain or holding out for a huge transfer fee.
Krychowiak, who is relatively less known by many Arsenal fans, is already rated as one of the best midfielders in the Spanish La Liga. At €30 million, the Polish international could be one of the bargains of the summer if the deal to bring him to the Emirates succeeds. Of course, €30 million is not a small fee giving the fact that the player does not have a premiership experience, but Wenger may have spotted something many of us have not been able to see in the player.
Speaking to the press in his native country about the possibility of moving to the EPL this summer, Krychowiak has this to say: “I do not have specific offers. I am very happy at Sevilla. At the same time I’d say that in football it’s a hard thing to plan for the long term. There are offers that are simply hard to reject.”
“Of course I wouldn’t turn them down but I can hardly say I’m desperate for the move can I?!” he added.
