Arsenal Open Discussion To Sign Germany’s “Newest Sensation”

According to a report in the Mirror, Arsenal sent scouts to watch Schalke 04 young sensation Leroy Sane during the club’s midweek Europa League draw with Sparta Prague.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder became an instant star last season after he made a memorable impression in the Champions League, scoring at the Santiago Bernabeu during Schalke’s 4-3 win over Real Madrid.

The German Under-21 international is widely regarded as one of the brightest potential in the Bundesliga, scoring three goals and adding two assists in just five league starts for his side in the Budesliga so far this season.

According to the report in the Mirror, the  Gunners have been tracking the youngster’s progress and sent scouts to further monitor him as Schalke secured an entertaining 2-2 draw which was made possible with the midfielder’s impact as he also recorded a goal in the match with Sparta Prague on Thursday.

Despite spending the first hour among the substitutes, Arsenal’s scouts were rewarded when the youngster made an immediate impact, scoring within 12 minutes of coming off the bench.

If this player is signed by Arsenal eventually, he will be a great addition as he is an attacking midfielder who can score goals and who can also play from the flanks.

The player however just signed a new five-year deal with his club though and this could be a snag in Arsenal’s pursuit of the player but we will wait and see what happens.
