Arsenal Or Manchester United Told To Pay £24 Million For Schneiderlin

Arsenal and Manchester United have been quoted £24 million by Southampton for their star midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin, according to the Daily Star.

Schneiderlin, whose dream all along has been to play in a Champions League playing club, is one of the most sort-after players in the EPL. The 25-year old could not have his dream realized last season when his club stood their ground and refused to let him leave after seeing several key players lured away by other Premiership teams like Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal. Now it seems that is about to change as the Frenchman’s club has set a asking price.

Arsenal and Manchester United both retain interest in the player, but may now have to come up with £24 million if they hope to lure the midfield enforcer to the Emirates or Old Trafford this summer. Tottenham also retains an interest in the player, but it is doubtful if he would love to move to the club considering his desire to play in the Champions League.

The player tried to force a move to the Gunners last summer, but his club stood their ground. Arsenal are believed to be in the market for a midfield enforcer, and 25-year old Schiederlin offers Wenger what he wants in the capacity.

Southampton’s insistence on keeping the Frenchman last season later proved a good one as the midfielder helped his club to earn a place in Europe, while also retaining their status as an EPL club; which of course, comes with mouth-watering TV right money.
