Arsenal Predicted Lineup vs. Southampton & Injury News – Coquelin, Sanchez and Ozil in Starting XI

Arsenal VS Chelsea

Arsenal welcome Southampton at Emirates Stadium in the league fixture on Tuesday night. The Gunners are without a win in their last three fixtures and have managed only two points from the same. Meanwhile, Saints are on a streak of three consecutive wins.

The Saints defeated the Gunners 4-0 in the reverse fixture, so the Gunners will have a real fight on their hands if they aim to claim all three points from this one.

Team News:

Tomas Rosicky suffered a muscular injury on his season debut in the FA Cup game against Burnley on Saturday. Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla are still ruled out with injuries. Danny Welbeck has returned to first-team training, but this game will come too soon for him.

Predicted Line Up [4-3-2-1]

Goalkeeper:

After sitting out the FA Cup victory over Burnley, Cech will return to claim his spot in between the sticks.

Defence:

Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal will be back in their usual full-back spots. Per Mertesacker has served his one-game suspension and will be back in his role in the centre of defence. He will be accompanied by his usual partner-in-crime Laurent Koscielny.

Midfield:

Francis Coquelin made his comeback from a two-month injury layoff in the FA Cup game against Burnley. The Gunners sorely missed his presence in the centre of midfield during the last two months and he will be back shielding the Gunners defence on Tuesday.

Aaron Ramsey will be given the responsibility in his usual box-to-box role next to Coquelin in the centre of midfield.

Mesut Ozil will be playing in his usual position in the attacking midfield.

Attack:

After a long time, Wenger has a wealth of options to pick from for the forward positions.

He is likely to pick Alexis Sanchez to play on the left wing. The winger will make his first league start after picking up a hamstring string against Norwich City in November.

Joel Campbell, based on his recent performances, deserves to be picked to play on the right wing.  Olivier Giroud will lead the attacking lines for the Gunners.

Predicted Lineup [4-3-2-1]: Cech, Monreal, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Bellerin, Coquelin, Ramsey, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud, Campbell
