Arsenal Scouts to be Present in Tonight’s UCL Clash as Superstar Striker is Moving to England
Arsenal are facing serious competition from rival Premier League clubs in their pursuit of Gent forward Laurent Depoitre.
Belgian source Niuwsblad claims that the Gunners are interested in the 27-year old and will be sending their scouts to watch the forward in Gent’s Champions League clash against Wolfsburg tonight.
13 Premier League clubs including the likes of Manchester United, Man City, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Stoke City, West Ham and Arsenal are said to be interested in the gifted goalscorer, and their scouts are expected to be present in the tonight’s game.
Arsenal’s North London rivals Tottenham have also been strongly linked with the Belgian international and have scouted him on various occasions. Multiple reports claimed that Spurs were interested in a January move for the player, but a move failed to materialize.
Former Gent goalkeeper Fred Herpoel recently confirmed Spurs’ interest in Depoitre by saying: “Depoitre, I think he will soon leave Gent.
“I do not know if it will be for January, but in any case, I think he will go to England at Tottenham. He has no offer, but I know that Tottenham are closely following him.”
He has scored ten league goals in Belgian league this season.
