Arsenal Set To Bid For 5ft 9″ Bundesliga Attacker, Manchester United Also Want Him

Arsenal have been put on alert and are considering launching a bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Jakub Blaszczykowski after news filtered in that the winger was looking for an exit out of the Bundesliga club this summer, according to talkSPORT.

The Polish footballer has not featured in any of Dortmund’s games this season, sparking rumours that he could be on his way out of the club this summer. TalkSPORT cite Bild who claim Spanish club Real Betis are also looking to sign Blaszczykowski but his wage demands may be too much for the club.

The 29-year wants his present wage of £1.8m increased if he is to join any club, leaving Betis out of it and giving Arsenal the chance to sign the versatile attacker. He had been an important player for Dortmund under Jurgen Klopp, but has now seen his fortunes changed under new boss Thomas Tuchel.

Last season saw Blaszczykowski make only 13 league appearances for Dortmund, having missed a large chunk of the season due to a cruciate ligament rupture suffered in 2014. The Pole who is known to be pacey now appears to have lost a yard of speed since his injury, and this could be why Tuchel seems not to prefer him in the line-up.

Although some supporters may question Arsenal’s interest in the Dortmund winger, but Arsene Wenger could make do with him due to his veratility and experience.

The Gunners’ Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool are also open to the possibility of landing Blaszczykowski, but if the north Londoners act swiftly the 29-year old attacking ace will be a Gunner.
