Arsenal Set To SIGN Chelsea Target In £30m Deal, Wenger REALLY Likes Him

According to a report by German news outlet Revier Sport, Arsenal are set to make an improved offer for Borussia Dortmund top scorer last season, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Revier Sport’s, reports that the Gunners are in the process of making an improved bid of more than £30million for the Gabon capped player after the German side rejected an initial offer of £28.7million.  In any case, Dortmund are unwilling to acknowledge any offer underneath £31million after the club permitted Ciro Immobile to join Sevilla a week ago.

Although Arsenal won the FA CUP last season, it is generally believed that the club might not challenge for the title next season without the acquisition of an effective  striker during this transfer window. Aubameyang is one of only a handful few strikers that fit the Gunners’ criteria yet they will be made to spend enormously  in the event that they need to secure his services.

What do the details say?

Aubameyang exceeded expectations last term, turned out to be one of the Bundesliga’s most productive hitman. He netted 16 times altogether, while creating  45 chances for the team, thereby placing third in his team, just Shinji Kagawa (48) and Marco Reus (49) made more than him for the German outfit.

Beside his excellent finishing abilities  – he converted over 19.8% of his attempt last season – and eye for a key pass, Aubameyang’s qualities lie in his pace and physicality, which will be helpful for the gunners when they play very physical teams such as Chelsea, Stoke city and the likes. The Gabonese international is also a good dribbler, he had 50% successful take-out last season.

The Gabonese would be an amazing asset for the Gunners; a marquee signing, truth be told. He has shown his phenomenal qualities  all through his time at Dortmund and it is clear to see that his skill-set and athletic capacity would see him flourish in England. Truth be told, there is a reason he is rated highly all over Europe.
