Arsenal Shareholder Literally Confirms Benzema Will Sign For Arsenal

There’s cheering news for the die-hard supporters of Arsenal following comments by Alisher Usmanov hinting at a big summer signing.

The signing of veteran goal keeper Petr Cech has remained the only signing of the summer for the Gunners despite the clamors and  belief that Arsenal are a signing away from an unbeatable squad. In this summer, Arsenal have been consistently linked with several stars including Karim Benzema and Alexandre Lacazette. However, the share holder has given rise to hope that a deal is imminent.

Usmanov who has fewer shares than Stan kroenke’s 15% stake, wrote a letter to the board of directors in 2012, stating his dissatisfaction in their transfer market dealings. Thereafter, he became a shareholder that was involved in their transfer activities.

While talking to CNN this morning, the billionaire stakeholder held on to his opinion that Arsenal cannot join the league of European elite clubs unless they secure a player.

Thus, “except for one position, I think Arsenal are ready to successfully fight for European cups.

Arsenal ended the last campaign on a high when the beat Manchester United to 3RD position and won the FA cup, but the recent displays of Theo Walcott and Oliver Giroud means they cannot be relied upon as strikers that would hand over the Title to Arsenal.

Despite reports that Arsenal have around £200m in the bank for transfer, Wenger has persistently denied any interest in Signing Benzema who is valued at around £40m. With the comment from Usmanov, Arsenal fans can bank on hope for a new signing.
