Arsenal’s playmaker, Oxlade Chamberlain has been linked with a possible move to their London rival’s Chelsea. According to the Sun, Chelsea has been scouting Chamberlain for a possible substitute for Eden hazard.
The Belgium international has had a disappointing season at the Stamford Bridge so far and has been a victim of controversy when fans lashed at him for ‘faking’ injury so he could get out of the match. Hazard will probably depart and head to Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain in the summers.
Provided Oxlade has had fewer appearances compared to last season and has become more of a substitute than a regular starter, the 22 year old may find it difficult to resist Chelsea. That said, Wenger might not be willing to part ways despite his lack of game-time. The Gunners need players like him to add extra pace to their attacks.
