Arsenal top target Carlos Bacca likely to leave AC Milan in summer, confirms player’s agent
Colombian international, Carlos Bacca, looks set to leave AC Milan at the end of the season, leaving the door open for a move to Arsenal. His agent has hinted that Arsenal would be the preferred location for the highly rated hitman who has been prolific in both Spain and Italy.
Several top clubs in Europe are on high alert and have already made offers for the striker, but Arsenal appear the most likely to get him. Carlos Bacca made a big name for himself in Spain, scoring 49 times in 2 seasons for Sevilla, before securing a move to AC Milan.
He has put goals away in Italy, but AC Milan fans are not convinced that he has lived up to the 30 million euro price tag. He scored 17 in 37 so far at the Milan club, who find themselves in 6th place this season, some way off the pace set by Juventus and Napoli.
Sergio Barila, the agent of Carlos Bacca, didn’t mention any specific deals or agreements with any clubs but he did suggest the striker will be on the move: ‘I don’t know what will happen in the summer, but the idea of Bacca and the club, at least when he signed, was to move forward with a great new Milan in Europe.
Then we’ll have to see if the Rossoneri or the player change their minds. Many teams asked me in January, including from China, but Bacca told me he wanted to stay at Milan. These teams have got back in contact with me recently in view of the upcoming transfer window, it seems normal that top clubs are following a great player like him,’ he said.
