Arsene Wenger identified main summer target in this sensational striker
London side, Arsenal, have expressed interest in offering Odion Ighalo a contract when the transfer window opens in the summer. The player is currently on loan at Arsenal from Watford and has had an impressive run. He has netted 14 times in a total of 33 English appearances.
The Nigerian international therefore stands out as a perfect fit for the Londoners who have of late been struggling to find the net, which explains their slump in the campaign to land the premier league trophy this season.
Watford aren’t willing to let go and have put a £20 million price tag on the promising forward. Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, is keen to sign a forward and only time will tell whether he can have Ighalo finally pen a deal.
Ighalo has as well attracted attention from Manchester United who have as well been struggling in front of the goal. The forward had also been quoted saying that he would find it difficult to reject a move to Manchester United if an offer comes about.
The player had previously rejected a move to the Chinese Super League on a deal worth £300,000 a week. His current salary stands at around £50,000 per week.
The 26 year old signed for Watford in October 2014 after his loan from Udinese was ended and a permanent move made. He has picked a total of 4 yellow cards and no reds in his 33 appearances which isn’t as bad.
