In recent weeks, Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had been strongly linked with a move to the Gunners, but he recently called off all speculations.
The 26 year old striker, had been linked with a move to the Premier League during the current transfer window, with reports suggested a likely move of £44million to Arsenal.
However, speaking at the award ceremony where he received African Player of the Year award, Aubameyang denied outright that the rumours aren’t true. ‘Let me say this first: I am not going to Arsenal,’ he told ESPN. ‘Dortmund is my club and I am not leaving soon.’
The Gabonese has scored 24 goals in 23 matches he has played for Dortmund this season. Due to his phenomenal display this season, four time winner, and Manchester City’s midfielder, Yaya Toure stood no chance. However, Premier League club Swansea’s striker, Andre Ayew claimed third place.
