Schalke youngster Leroy Sane is one of the most exciting youth talents in world football at the moment. The 20-year old has attracted the attention of a number of clubs and the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona are said to be interested in his services.
German football expert Kristian Sommer, a couple of days ago, suggested that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to make a move for the player.
When asked if Klopp is interested in signing Sane, Sommer told the Liverpool Echo: “Definitely, because it is the league he knows inside out.”
Now, Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Arsenal and Barcelona are also involved in the pursuit of the highly-rated youngster.
The Catalan-based daily claims that Barcelona recently sent scouts to watch over the youngster at Schalke’s defeat to Mainz.
German publication Bild has previously claimed that Schalke value their star at £40 million and will not budge on their valuation.
The 20-year-old has already made his debut for the German national team and has been one of the standout players in Bundesliga this season.
He has scored five goals and four assists in 21 league appearances this season. During January transfer window, Real Madrid was reported as the club leading the transfer race.
