BID ACCEPTED – Manchester United Target Set To Join Liverpool
Liverpool has beaten bitter rival Manchester United to the signing of 14-year-old Norwegian star Edvard Tagseth, as reported by the Metro. The two Premier league clubs as well as some other European team, missed out on the signing of promising youngster Martin Odegaard earlier this year as he joined Spanish club Real Madrid.
Now both Liverpool and United have gone back to the market in search of more promising talents and found 14-year-old Tagseth.
Metro, believes that Tagseth was all set to join Louis van Gaal’s side this transfer window but after some training stints with Liverpool, the teenager has reportedly agreed terms and conditions with the Reds.
So also, the talented young midfielder will remain in Norway until his 16th Birthday and then move over to Anfield to experience their elite coaching at youth level.
Lots of young stars are ready for the upgrade to the first-team this season, including Harry Wilson, Sheyi Ojo and Ryan Kent, although Sheyi Ojo has already been sent on loan for the season at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Liverpool have been so busy in the transfer window this summer strengthening their team but their youth policy is still important. The Reds scored 52 goals in the premier league last season.
