Liverpool may be coming their 8th summer signing before playing Arsenal on Monday night if a report by daily independent is anything to go by. According to the British media outlet, Liverpool have had a bid of 15 million accepted for Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the attacking midfielder may be on the way to Anfield.
This is not the first time Henrikh Mkhitaryan is been linked with a move to Liverpool. Before he joined Dortmund in 2013, he was reportedly on his way to Liverpool but that never happened.
Having scored 24 goals and created 20 assists in 94 games, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is one midfielder the current Liverpool side could do with as a replacement for departed club legend Steven Gerrard.
However, despite having a bid accepted for him, Liverpool could well miss out on the chance to sign the player as Juventus are reportedly also keen on signing him and should they match Liverpool’s bid, it will be left to the player to decide where he wants to go o.
Having said that, I personally think Liverpool have a good chance of getting the player ahead of Juventus. One the premier league is head and shoulder ahead of the Serie A and secondly, Liverpool can afford to offer him more money due to the new premier league Tv largess.
