Bid ACCEPTED, Replacement Bought, Chelsea To ANNOUNCE John Stones Signing

According to the Daily Express, League one club Barnsley are expected to receive £6m for John Stones upon his sale from Everton this summer.

While Chelsea and Manchester United are busy rooting for the signature the hard-tackling john Stones the other gainers in the would-be deal will be the Yorkshire club who are expected to smile to the bank for a slice of the 21-year-old transfer fee.

Two years ago, Stones moved from Barnsley to the Merseyside club for just £3m. However, following the starlet’s impressive performance for the Toffees, his valuation has since increased to a whopping £40m.

The EPL defending champions have seen a bid of £30m rebuffed by Everton, but it is understood that Everton will accept nothing less than £40m for their most sought after player. Peradventure Stones is sold for £40m, Barnsley will be entitled to £6m as agreed by a sell-on clause in the player’s contract that say 15% of his transfer fee will be given to his parent club Barnsley.

Although, Stones has made an impressive start to this season. On the other side, Chelsea conceded five goals in their two outings this season attributed to defensive laxity on the part of John Terry who was substituted at half-time during their defeat to Manchester city.

Stones has been tipped to come good at Stamford Bridge after he was dubbed as the long-term replacement of John Terry.
