Chelsea scout Piet de Visser has asked club’s talented striker Bertrand Traore to consider moving to Eredivisie club Ajax.
Traore scored 16 goals in 42 appearances during an 18-month loan spell with Vitesse Arnhem, before returning to London in the summer. Ajax tried to sign the player on a loan deal in the summer, but former manager Jose Mourinho refused to let him go this time.
Now Daily Mirror reports that Ajax are again interested in the move for the player, and de Visser feels that Traore should move to the Netherlands to kick-start his stagnating career.
“Marc Overmars [Ajax’s director of football] has already asked about him, but Jose Mourinho did not want to let him go,” De Visser told Voetbal International. “At this time, he is on the bench at Chelsea. That’s a shame, because Bertrand is a super talent.
“He has tremendous technique and is cool in finishing. At Vitesse he stood out; at Ajax, he would be working with better players.”
