Chelsea star Willian is nearing towards signing a contract extension with the club, according to the reports. The Brazilian has been the standout player for the club during their troubled season and the club wants to tie him down to a new contract.
The new deal will increase the player’s wages to £120,000-a-week and will run until 2021. He is currently on £80,000-a-week wages and his current deal has two and a half years left in it.
“The club knows exactly how I feel,” Willian said in an interview with The Sun on Saturday. “I am very happy here. It was always my dream to come here when I was playing in Ukraine the realisation of a dream. I want to stay.
“But at the same time my head is calm, I am just going to see how things go. I’m happy. I tend to not get involved in that side of things too much. I leave it up to my agent to deal with it but the club knows exactly how I feel.”
