Breaking: Liverpool open talks to seal Klopp’s third signing

Liverpool are chasing Monaco ace, Thomas Lemar. Monaco are reluctant to let their star man leave unless an audacious bid of £58 million is made.

Lemar has attracted interest from Europeans top teams with Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City. However, Liverpool are believed to be well ahead as they have previously met with the players representatives, only City have done the same. Liverpool are hoping that since the talks have opened a prospective move can be finalised.

Monaco remain stubborn and are persistent that Lemar will remain in France as the player only joined in June 2015. The players contract extends as far as 2020 and are looking to hold down the player to his commitment.

The 20-year old has already appeared at an international stage for France at U21 level. The midfielder has been in fine form and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping he can add the youngster to his ranks as he looks to mould the Anfield side.

Monaco are known to possess brilliant young players as the Premier League recently witnessed with Anthony Martial . The young forward made a big money move to Manchester United for a hefty fee last summer. The fee was inclusive of large bonuses based on performances. It is believed Monaco are expecting a similar procedure with Lemar especially because they are in no rush to sell.

The midfielder is rated as one of Europe’s promising talents and Monaco have not been shy to express that in their asking price.  Lemar is known to play on the left of midfield. He has the ability to whip in a dangerous cross and dribble past defenders.
Lemar is not a tall man however he has the balance and is able to hold off player well. Lemar has a deadly free kick accuracy that can only get better with time. He likes to play long balks and shoot from range, only a measure of his confidence and composure.  He surely is one for the future. Liverpool will hope that can snap him up before he attracts more interest.
