Breaking News – Arsenal On The VERGE Of Signing Lewandowski After £35m Bid

After the purchase of Petr Cech from Chelsea, Arsenal have been relatively quiet in the transfer window. But things are expected to change in coming days with Arsenal lining up a lot of deals to be completed soon. One out of deals expected to be completed soon is the signing of Polish striker Robert Lewandoski.

Reports coming out from England state that Arsenal and Bayern Munich are set to agree a deal for the transfer of Lewandoski to Arsenal. Arsenal have been heavily linked to Benzema and Lewandoski for the most part of this transfer window and it seems the Gunners are starting to push for a deal to sign Lewandoski as talks with Real Madrid to sign Karim Benzema have not progressed.

Bayern Munich have maintained a tough stance on the sale of Lewandoski and insists he would not be sold but however, the Gunners are understood to be ready to launch a 35 million pounds bid for the 26 year old which could prove tempting for Bayern Munich.

Arsenal have highlighted the signing of a proven striker as their priority in this transfer window which has seen them linked to a number of various strikers. But Lewandoski and Benzema have emerged as top targets for the club. Lewandoski scored 17 goals for Bayern Munich last season which helped Bayern Munich secure their league title. The Polish striker is regarded as one of the deadliest strikers in Europe due to his lethal finishing and keen eye for goal. The addition of Lewandoski to Arsenal might just see them lift the Barclays Premier League title after a long wait.
