BREAKING NEWS – Arsenal Set To COMPLETE 2nd And 3rd Summer Signing

So far in the summer transfer window, the Gunners have only been able to bring in veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech from London rivals Chelsea, with the Czech goaltender putting in a brilliant display against his former employers in the FA Community shield this past weekend thereby helping Arsenal to a 1 nil victory.

However, the Gunners have since been linked with a host of top-notch forwards, with boss Arsene Wenger looking to bolster his options in the attack in order to maintain a genuine challenge for the Premier League trophy in the upcoming campaign.

Reports seething in the media currently suggests Arsenal are eyeing a double swoop for Real Madrid’s duo of Karim Benzema and Denis Cheryshev. Benzema has been a subject of two rejected bids from Arsenal, with Los Blancos boss Rafael Benitez recently declaring Benzema will be staying at the Bernabeu. Cheryshev courted the interest of Liverpool last month, and Metro reckoned that a £22m bid should be enough to seal the player’s capture, as Brendan Rodgers sees the Russian as a possible replacement for Raheem Sterling who joined Manchester City for £49m recently in the summer.

Metro is now reporting that Arsenal have jumped to be the frontrunners for Cheryshev’s signature, having impressed during his loan spell at Villareal last term. Although, the back to back Community Shield winners do not need more attacking playmakers in their squad, Cheryshev’s addition would be a huge coup.

Despite Benitez’s comment that Benzema will not be sold, it is highly likely the France international striker will be playing under his compatriot Arsene Wenger come next term as reports claim a third bid will likely be accepted by Real for his signature.
