Breaking news – Chelsea all set to swap Real Madrid superstar as Hiddink approves the deal

Chelsea are preparing a move to sign Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez in the January transfer window. Sky Sports claim, via Spanish source Fichajes, that Blues boss Hiddink has given his approval to the signing of the Colombian international in the winter transfer window.

The report further claims that the 24-year-old is currently unhappy with his status with Los Blancos after falling out with manager Rafa Benitez.

Chelsea suffered their worst start in a league campaign in 37 years this season and club owner Roman Abramovich is desperate to grab a top-four spot when the league ends in May. Hiddink will be a given a major transfer kitty from the club in the summer and Rodriguez is his primary target.

In another transfer story related to these clubs, Spanish publication Don Balon has claimed that Real Madrid are interested in Chelsea star Eden Hazard. Chelsea will be unwilling to let go of their Belgian star, but Madrid would force the London club to involve Hazard in any deal involving Rodriguez.

Real Madrid have unsuccessfully pursued the Belgian for quite some time now, and this will present a perfect opportunity for them to force Chelsea into selling Hazard.
