Breaking News – Jose Mourinho To Leave Chelsea
Jose Mourinho quite possibly on his way out of Stamford Bridge already in his second spell in charge of Chelsea. The manager and the squad were given a vote of confidence twenty days ago by the club management but have since then managed only one win, one draw and one loss with Mourinho getting a fine and sent to the stands in their weekend loss. These have helped to give fuel to fire as Mourinho has now become the second favorite to be the next managerial departure in the Premier League.
Intermediaries, working independently and not at the request of Roman Abramovich or Chelsea, are already attempting to see whether Pep Guardiola will be interested in a Chelsea move. According to reports, Guus Hiddink or someone from within will take over on the short term basis while Guardiola will become a substantial manager in the summer.
Meanwhile in Germany, Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has expressed his support for Pep Guardiola and urged the Spanish manager to remain at the club stating it as the team’s opinion.
He said, “The team’s opinion is clear. We enjoy working together with our coach [Guardiola] and he is an outstanding manager. Everything else is not in our hands. The only thing I can say is that the team would like Guardiola to stay.”
“Yes, I have [told him to extend his contract with the club].”
While Chelsea are not the only club who want Pep Guardiola, it still remains to be seen if Chelsea owner Roman abramovic will be desperate enough or impatient enough to fire Mourinho or if the so called “intermediaries” will be powerful enough to get Mourinho fired to bring in Pep Guardiola.
