“Club Can Sign €50m Target!” President Officially Confirms Club Can Sign Their Key Man

According to the reports from TalkSport, League 1 outfit Marseille have set a €50 million price tag to Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger target Michy Batshuayi.

Arsenal were keen on the striker during the summer transfer window but an agreement was not met and now Chelsea have expressed their interest in signing the highly-rated Marseille striker. The striker is one of the hottest prospects in European football at the moment and has been scouted by all of Europe’s top clubs.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both keen on the 22-year-old, but they have now been told by Marseille president Vincent Labrune that they’ll have to cough up €50m.

Labrune said: “There is not a single top 15 world club that is not interested in Batshuayi. He is one of the most wanted players on the market. There were a lot of offers for him this summer, but he did not want to leave. He is proving himself on the pitch. And if clubs want him then they are going to have to pay up. Around €50m!”

Chelsea haven’t enjoyed the best start to the season as they find themselves at 16th place following 7 losses in the 12 games already played this season.

The Chelsea strikers have also been on some sort of ‘ghost mode’ this season following their lack of pizzazz upfront with the likes of Diego Costa and Loic Remy misfiring on a number of occasions. Batshuayi is sought after by Chelsea in a bid to improve their failing attack.
