Chelsea CLOSE To Completing Transfer Of Attacker, Will Become Club’s 2nd Best Paid Player

Chelsea Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah has demanded an annual pay of £2 million from Fiorentina if they want him to stay. The player spent the second half of last season on loan at Florence and proved to be a big hit.

The Italy-based club have already told Chelsea they “intend to pay up the £700,000 to sign Salah on loan again after the Egyptian spent a successful six months in Italy last season” (The Telegraph). The decision to accept this however lies with Salah, whose representatives have told Fiorentina they require a wage increment for the winger to continue with them next season.

If an agreement is reached, Salah will most definitely be the second highest earner in the club, behind Mario Gomez, according to the same source. The Egyptian winger will be hoping the deal is agreed, as he enjoyed lots of playing time on the field compared to his time at parent club, Chelsea where he spent most of his time on the club.

Inter Milan, on the other hand are interested in the 23-year old dribbler, either permanently or on loan,  and are reported to be ready to fork out £1.78 million in wages for him. Salah, who joined The Blues from Basel in 2014 made only 13 appearances and scored 2 goals, one of which was against Arsenal in the 6-0 annihilation by the Stamford Bridge club. For the Viola, however, he made 16 appearances and scored 6 goals, despite featuring for them for only the second part of the season.

Meanwhile, The Metro is reporting that Chelsea are looking to include Mohamed Salah plus £35.5 million in their bid to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. Griezmann’s will be the first major bid the club will be making after the “not-so-impressive” acquisition of Radamel Falcao, although there has been no official announcement yet.
