Chelsea Could ANNOUNCE Signing Of £20m Star This Week, His Clubs Signs Replacement

21-year-old Everton defender John Stones has long been hyped as the future lynchpin of England defense. Along with Calum Chambers of Arsenal, the young prodigy is considered one of the best young defenders in the league.

The player has been linked with an array of top English clubs all throughout the summer , most notably with Premier League champions Chelsea and Manchester United. His current club Everton cannot match the financial clout of the aforementioned duo and hence , it only appears a matter of when , rather than if , the defender will be sold to a bigger club.

The Express has fuelled these speculations further by claiming that Everton are preparing an offer reportedly worth €15.5 million for Juventus centre back Angelo Ogbonna as a replacement for the Englishman. Though the Toffees face stiff competition in the form of Liverpool and West Ham United for his signature, they remain confident of pulling off the coup.

The towering Ogbonna appears a perfect fit for the Merseyside club , and will provide a much needed dominant aerial presence to a back line that conceded half a century of league goals last season. With a record of having won 65% of his headed duels last season, Ogbonna has the attributes to succeed in the Premier League.

Though the departure of Stones will feel like a blow initially, Everton will be landing a more than adept replacement in the form of the 27-year-old Italian International.

Meanwhile , Everton’s interest in Ogbonna may have finally paved the way for Jose Mourinho to go and get the player he has identified as a long term replacement for the ageing club captain John Terry. With just 4 recognized central defenders in the squad , and one of them in the form of Branislav Ivanovic plying his trade at right back , Chelsea are a bit short at the back.

Though Stones is not yet ready to challenge for a first team spot at Chelsea , a move to Stamford Bridge will present him with an opportunity to learn from the man who he is expected to replace in the near future. For Chelsea’s part, the Blues will be getting an exceptional talent with a bright future in the game.

Mourinho is reportedly planning a bid of £21 million to lure the player to Stamford Bridge. A move to Chelsea appears viable for all the parties involved. Blues supporters will be hoping their club can soon entice the young prodigy to join.
