Chelsea Could ANNOUNCE Transfer Of £26.5m Star On Monday, Deal Almost Done

If a report by English media outlet daily star is anything to go by, then Chelsea are set to complete the transfer of last winter signing Juan Cuadrado. Daily star reports that Spanish la liga side Atletico Madrid have earmarked the South American as a replacement for Ardan Turan who was sold to Barca. The Colombian winger who is also able to play as a right back is reportedly on his way out of the Stamford bridge this summer after failing to nail down a place in Jose Mourinho’s squad.

Inter Milan, his former club Fiorentia and now Atletico Madrid are all set to be interested in the signature of the player. According daily star, Chelsea have open talks with Atletico Madrid and they hope a £24.5 million deal will be completed by next week.

Should the report be true, Chelsea will be losing 2 million on the Colombian who they signed for £26.5 million. Although Chelsea will be losing £2 million on the player, it will however make a lot of sense to sell him considering the player’s talent is obviously not appreciated by Jose Mourinho. Selling him will ensure Chelsea reduce their wage bill by as much as £75,000-a-week which can be spent on another player.
