Chelsea GIVEN Boost In Bid To Sign Another Manchester United Target

Arch rivals Chelsea and Manchester United seems to have unfinished business in the transfer market-Corinthians forward Alexandre Pato has been surprisingly offered to the arch arrivals for just £11 million, per the Daily Telegraph.

Pato, 25, joined the San Siro giants in the summer of 2007 but was unable to feature until 2008 due to some FIFA regulations. He was impressive until 2011 where his growth was stalled by re-occurring injuries. He left San Siro in 2012 following his inconsistency and returned to his country club Corinthians before spending last season on loan with Sao Paulo.

According to the reports, it is highly unlikely that the Blues will jump at this offer for Pato, who is on the verge of leaving his club. Chelsea have array of forward options within their ranks and are understood to be looking at offloading the likes of Moses and Caudrado who are equally attacking players.

Just last week, the Blues announced the signing of Pedro Rodriguez from Barcelona to add to the acquisition of Falcao.

However, their defensive woes have seen the Blues remained in the transfer market in search for a quality defender. Adding a forward player to their ranks, will be misplacing their priority, which should be a centre back.
