Chelsea In ADVANCED Discussion TO Sign POWERFUL 5ft 11″ Defender

Chelsea are on the look out for a left back after Brazilian left back, Filipe Luis sealed a return to Atletico Madrid after just 12 months at Stamford Bridge.

Filipe Luis struggled to adapt to English football and made just 15 appearances, 9 as a starter in the Premier League. His failure to dislodge right back turned left back Cesar Azpilicueta culminated in his short lived Chelsea stint.

Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the Premier League champions are in advanced negotiations for Galatasaray’s Alex Telles. Telles has done well for himself after joining the Turkish giants from Brazillian club Gremio last January in a €6 million deal. He has come on in leaps and bounds and has the starting berth on lock down. Series of impressive perfomances for The Lions have not gone unnoticed as he now has a string of top European clubs vying for his signature.

Chelsea would have to battle Seria A champions Juventus and French champions PSG for his signature and with Galatasaray completing the transfer of Lionel Carole from French side Troyes, they seem to have resigned to the possibility of losing Telles and are  preparing for the new season without his services.

Despite his agent claiming that his client is currently happy in Turkey, Eurosport have suggested that a bid of €8million to €10 million would be enough to secure his signature.
