Chelsea are reportedly in talks to sign PSG defender Thiago Silva. Italian source Tuttomercatoweb claims that the Blues have opened negotiations with the Ligue 1 champions over a possible deal for the Brazilian defender.
The West London club are in the transfer market for a centre-back and have already been linked with the likes of John Stones, Scott Dann and Aymen Abdennour.
The latest report suggests that the Blues have now turned attention towards the Paris club to solve their defensive problems.
John Terry is in the last year of his contract, and it’s still unclear whether he will be staying at the club for next year. The Blues want to sign a top centre-back to provide competition to Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma at the centre of defence in the long run.
The 31-year-old joined PSG from AC Milan in 2012 for €46 million.
He has won one Serie A title with AC Milan and three Ligue 1 titles with PSG.
