Chelsea Injury Update – Oscar, Bertrand Traore And Ramires

Part of the Blues undoing to their shabby start of the season is partially due to the number of injuries sustained by key players. Last season wasn’t really spotless in terms of injuries, Costa, Mikel and Ramires missed matches repeatedly but our record was amongst the best in the Premier League. But this season is looking different already.

Gary Cahil had his nose broken and Diego Costa almost immediately, had a reoccurrence of the hamstring problem that was a massive challenge to him at Athletico Madrid, while Oscar and Ramires have been battling with knocks and Niggles.

However, the good news is, Oscar and Ramires returned to full training yesterday, as per Chelsea TV. The Brazilians were dropped from the Samba boys’ squad for this international break. They should be in contention for a place next week as Mourinho seeks to find the right mix of players for this season. Oscar has been the most missed player, especially after he showed quality in the Blues opener against Swansea.

Meanwhile, Bertrand Traore didn’t make the trip ahead of Burkina Faso’s match against Botswana. The starlet picked up a mysterious hip injury but we hope it is not severe. He’s yet to make a Premier League debut, but he’s been named in the Champions League squad for Chelsea.
