The likes of Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal are said to be interested in signing him. However, recent reports have suggested that Chelsea are currently leading the race to sign him.
The Sun claims that the West London club are currently favourites to sign the 20-year old, who is valued at £40 million by his club.
The report claims that Schalke are expected to sell their valuable asset during the summer in what could be one of the biggest transfers of the transfer window.
Pep Guardiola is also a fan of the youngster, and Man City are expected to compete toe-to-toe with the Blues for his signing.

The pacey midfielder, who is already a German international, has scored five goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances for his club.
