Terry Leaving Chelsea

Chelsea Line up Replacement for John Terry for £20m, Already in Advanced Negotiations

This season Chelsea announced that they will not be renewing John Terry’s contract, which means that this is the last season for the defender at Stamford Bridge.

The defender has grown into one of the best defenders of the Premier League, and possibly of Europe and became a vital part of Chelsea’s defensive line-up over the years. Not only did he act as a solid anchor at the back but with his leadership skills, has captained his team to crucial victories and eventually titles, in the entire span of his Chelsea career.

The 35-year-old is now set to leave the Blues but has not yet announced his retirement which means he is willing to play. Chelsea doesn’t seem wise to let their main man go, and West Ham is reportedly interested in taking advantage of the opportunity. The Hammers are set to move to their new stadium and are keen on signing the England defender.

Chelsea on the other hand is already lining up replacement for Terry. The most recent development is Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann. It is reported that Blues are in process of proposing a deal for the defender.

The 20-year-old is being valued at a fee of £20 million and is seen by Chelsea as the perfect replacement for Terry.

Everton’s John Stones was previously being linked with a move to Chelsea but the Toffees defender is mostly likely going to Etihad to join Manchester City.
