Chelsea News – £50m Star Set For January Move, Roman Abramovich Likes Him
Reports emanating from Turkey are suggesting that Turkish giant Galatasaray are interested in signing Atheltico Madrid forward, Fernando Torres when the transfer market re-open in the January of 2016, as per Takvim.
The Cimbom revealed their interest this morning to the press on the former AC Milan man as they look to add experience to their attack line led by Burak Yilmaz who has been their lone striker.
Recently, the Turkish champions have attracted crop of experienced players especially Lukas Podolski and Kevin Grosskreutz who signed from Arsenal and Dortmund respectively. The Cimbom are looking to retain their title.
The major appeal for Galatasaray is that despite being a world cup winner and a widely experienced European forward, Torres will come on the cheap for them due to his form but his experience will be invaluable for them.
The start to this season has been shambolic and poor for Galatasaray – they have four points from three opening matches the Turkish Super Lig. A player in the stead of Torres will no doubt help their title defence.
Torres’ loan spell at Athletico has been poor; he scored three goals in 19 appearances and has fallen below the selection pecking order of Diego Simone. Interest from any club will fancy the Spain international.
