Chelsea News – Brazilian Arrives, To Sign Four Years Deal, Pedro Deal Agreed & More

With Chelsea easily cantering to the Premier League title last term, it was evident from the onset of the transfer summer that Mourinho would just be adding a sprinkle of quality here and there to an almost perfect squad. With the Blues having lost one and signed one so far this summer in Petr Cech and Radamel Falcao, the transfer season is set to step up a gear for the Blues in the coming days, with rumors linking them with several moves doing the rounds in the media. Here we take a look at all the transfer gossip surrounding the club at the moment.

The Blues are all set to complete their second new signing of the summer in the form of  Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic with the 28-year-old Bosnian International agreeing terms on a five-year deal. Chelsea will be paying a fee of £8 million to the Potters for the services of the shot stopper who has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the league since joining in 2010.

Meanwhile, Brazilian forward Kenedy is also allegedly heading to Stamford Bridge after he  dropped a big hint via Snapchat that he has already completed his move to the Premier League Champions. He has posted a picture of his boots at what appears to be the club’s Cobham training base. The 19-year-old is highly regarded in his home nation and his arrival is definitely one to look out for.

In perhaps the biggest news concerning Chelsea this week, the club have been linked with a swoop for Barcelona forward Pedro. Mourinho has reportedly informed the club’s top brass of his desire to land the 27-year-old this summer, and has implored them to meet the €30 million release clause for the Spaniard. Mourinho reportedly held a productive with the player over the weekend and is confident of landing his man. Despite the player signing an extension in June, it has now been suggested that it was just a ploy by the club to lower his release clause and extract maximum from his sale.

With Luis Enrique revealing that he will not stand in the player’s way , Pedro has been widely tipped to leave the Blaugrana this summer.

Elsewhere, Victor Moses’ long mooted move to Stoke City appears in jeopardy as Chelsea are reportedly ready to give another chance to the struggling winger to revive his Stamford Bridge career. Having impressed Stoke manager Mark Hughes with his outstanding displays for the Potters last season on loan, Stoke were keen to land the 24-year-old this summer on a permanent deal. However, the move now appears to have hit a roadblock.

In another development , Chelsea have confirmed a loan move for highly rated academy youngster Bekanty Victorien Angban to join Belgian club Sint-Truidense for the 2015/16 campaign The midfielder , who is highly regarded in the Stamford Bridge circles as a future first teamer, will look to play himself into Mourinho’s plans for next season.
