Chelsea News – Club Starts OFFFICIAL Negotiation For Marco Reus Signing

The Express have been carrying the news that Real Madrid have started negotiating for Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus who has recently been linked to Chelsea and Liverpool.

Manchester United and Arsenal are also reputed to be monitoring the players situation and are interested in taking the player away from the Westfalenstadion.

Marco Reus struggled with constant injury problems last term but still managed to help his teams cause with a contribution of 11 goals in 29 appearances.

The versatile attacker joined Dortmund from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012 for a fee speculated to be around £12 million. The players stock has risen after three seasons at the Westfalenstadion where he has played in 119 games scoring 53 goals and is expected to command a fee above £40 million now.

With Real Madrid currently short of quality out wide, they would do well to acquire the services of the pacey attacker and with their record of paying outlandish sums for transfer fees, the reputed figure of £40 million will not prove to be a stumbling block for the transfer.

The glamour attached with being a galactico has always proven to be an overpowering pull for most players and the reportedly high wages on offer at the european powerhouse has always been an incentive too difficult to resist.

Reus signed a contract extension at his club last season and it remains to be seen if the Dortmund hierachy will be willing to part ways with their star man.
