Chelsea On The VERGE Of Signing 6ft 2in La Liga Star

Sunday People newspaper has revealed that Chelsea are in the race to bring Real Madrid defender Pepe for the next season to bolstering the pack at Stamford Bridge.

The Portuguese player has been linked with move away from the club in recent times. The new Madrid gaffer, Rafael Benitez wants to promote Raphael Varane for the next season, so the Frenchman will be given a regular playing time. Varane and Pepe play similarly but the later do not suit the style of Rafael game plan.

From all indication the feelers journalists are having is that Pepe hasn’t yet extended his contract with the Madrid Club, he wants to hold some further talks with the club management else he could be available for £20m.
