Chelsea On VERGE Of Signing 12 Goals 4 Assists Arsenal Target For €22m
Premier league champions Chelsea have tabled an offer to Napoli’s forward Jose Callejon in order to bolster their attacking options as they look forward to defending their title next season. It is understood that the Blues are considering making an offer of €22.1 million to Napoli for the Spanish player. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen to re-unite with Jose Callejon after coaching him while he was in charge at Real Madrid. After loaning Mohammed Salah to Roma and Juan Cuadrado’s future still in doubts after a horrible start to his Chelsea career, Jose Mourinho will be looking to add another quality winger to the Chelsea team that can serve as an alternative to the likes of Hazard, Willian and Oscar due to the large number of fixtures Chelsea will have to play over the course of the season.
Chelsea will face stiff competition from other clubs for the signature of the 28 year old with Arsenal also rumoured to be interested in the Napoli player. The Napoli winger was Napoli’s second highest goal-scorer last season bagging a total of 11 goals and recorded just 3 assists.
The Spanish player can play either of the flanks and is capable of creating goals as well as scoring them. The pacey winger has been praised for his creativity as well as his technical ability. Jose Callejon performed considerably well while under Mourinho at Madrid despite not being a starter, the 28 year old would definitely not be able to turn down a chance to work with his former boss.
