According to latest reports, Premier League club Chelsea are keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
The 28-year old is an ever-commanding presence in the Paris club’s midfield, and French publication BuzzSport claims that the West London club are expected to make a move for him in the summer transfer window.
The Blues consider the French international as a perfect replacement for Ramires, who moved Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning in a £25m deal last month. Unprecedented deal shocked the world and started new wave of world class stars leaving Europe.
The report claims that the Ligue 1 club value their player in the region of £39 million and would be tempted to sell him if Chelsea offers to meet their valuation.
Ligue 1 giants signed the French international for €7.5 million plus incentives from St. Etienne in 2011.
Since his move to the club, he has won three Ligue 1 titles with the club. He won French player of the year award for 2015, and he is set to play an important role in the summer’s Euro Cup, which are going to be held in his home country.
He has scored three goals and provided five assists in 23 league appearances for his club this season.
